Fall

In the time when the leaves were afire
Everything changed
Blankets hung from you, smothering
And you had only just discovered their existence
And still the streets drooled with beauty
But you cannot see it
Despite how your eyes lay upon their atoms

And in this moment you hang within space, viscous space
Among particles of no greater nor lesser value
Forward
Forward
You must move
But in this moment you swim on the spot
The red outline of a hand holds you
And you long for the white man

Inspiration ebbs through a single vein
Never before has blood been so dense

You Carry It

Entangled,
I carry it in my heart and fall into you
Now feeling as
Before we knew that buttercups would make us yellow
And dandelions had glue inside them.
The tide rises once again, teasing.
